About Chicago Area CodePINK We are a group of women and men who, with humor and creativity, engage in street theater, actions and events toward creating a local, national and global community free from war and crimes toward humanity. Chicago Area CodePINK draws its participants from Chicago and the suburbs, extending from Northwest Indiana and Kankakee to the Wisconsin border, from Lake Shore Drive to DeKalb County and beyond. We meet on the last Tuesday of each month at various locations in the city and suburbs.  (Watch our calendar for specifics.)  All are welcome at these meetings; it's a good chance to get involved and help in planning. We send out email alerts, generally every week to ten days.  To receive these alerts, go to the main website, www.codepink4peace.org, and in the upper right-hand corner, sign up for Action Alerts, and be sure to include your zip code.  (We send our email alerts based on Chicago-area zip codes from the national list.)  You'll also receive occasional alerts from national CODEPINK. We engage in our own signature pink actions dictated by local, national and world events; we also join forces with others and endorse or co-sponsor events that fit with our progressive mission.  On our web page and in our email alerts, we offer a menu of actions and events; we urge you to lend your pink presence to those events that fit your schedule and float your boat!  (And check our web page for links to photos of prior actions.)  There are no dues and no membership requirements; if you show up, you're CODEPINK!
