Prepare your community's own "Walk in Their Shoes" action in just a few steps....

1) Gather women's and children's shoes from local thrift stores or simply do a shoe drive from your neighbors, friends and family.

2) Get shoe tags from your local office supply store- we found that Shipping Tags, 4 3/4" x 2 3/8" work well. You can even buy them pre-strung.

3) Visit the Iraq Body Count site and download the list of names.

4) Download our label document to use as the template for adding the names. We have found that the best size are a 2" x 4" Avery label (Avery Shipping 5163) which is a standard template in Microsoft Word or other basic office programs.

5) Put the named labels on the tags then tags on the shoes.

6) Pick your location: in front of your Congressional or Senator's office (or their home), in a public space, be creative and bold.

7) Remember to hold these shoes and this action in reverence for the lives they are representing.
