On International Womens Day, a group of CODEPINKers joined our allies from Occupy San Francisco to Bust Bank of America. Our leaders were a fearless trio of Super Sheroes: Foreclosure Fighter, Silver Server (serving cold, hard justice), and Fraud Buster (pictured). Our action to Bust B of A started at the San Francisco Federal Reserve building. From there we marched through San Franciscos Financial District, visiting two B of A bank branches and several ATMs. We did a citizens arrest on an ATM; after all, corporations are people too! Although we had planned to sing to the employees at the local Bank of America branches we visited, both branches had locked their doors when we arrived. It seems that Bank of America is afraid of our super power to bust big banksand they should be! The greed of the 1% is no match for our fabulous Super Sheroes, the women of the 99%, and our allies fighting for economic justice! | |
